Financial Planning Certificate Program Information Session

Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance Planning provides an overview of the financial planning and insurance industry. This course is the first of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Investment Planning introduces basic investments concepts and focuses on client needs and assessments, particularly as they relate to risk tolerance and exposure.

Income Tax Planning provides an overview of the federal tax system, including both personal and business taxation. This course is the third of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits teaches the fundamentals of retirement planning, as well as exploring various alternatives available in planning for retirement. This course is the fourth of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Estate Planning provides an introduction to estate planning challenges, techniques and taxation. This course is the fifth of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Financial Plan Development is the new course requirement for educational programs registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In this course, you will learn to integrate your knowledge of the financial planning topics learned from the previous five courses in the program, and apply and communicate this knowledge to your clients in a form of both a written financial plan and an oral presentation. This course is the final required module in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.
