Paytrain Funadmentals
PayTrain® Fundamentals, part of the PayrollOrg PayTrain® Certificate Program, teaches you fundamental payroll calculations and applications. Whether you want to prepare for the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification exams or are new to the payroll industry, PayTrain® Fundamentals will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills required to maintain payroll compliance and prevent costly penalties. These calculations are critical to successfully passing the FPC and CPP exams and are not covered in the PayTrain® course.

What certificate is awarded upon completing this program?
Upon successful completion of both courses in the PayrollOrg PayTrain® Certificate Program, you will be awarded a Certificate of Professional Achievement from DePaul University.
This Certificate of Professional Achievement should not be confused with the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or the Fundamental Payroll certification (FPC) examinations. Certification examination fees for these exams are not included in the course fees. Are there required materials?
Yes. There are PAYO PayTrain® course materials, which are included in the cost of tuition.
Does this program qualify for financial assistance through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)?
In order to find out if you qualify for financial assistance, you must first contact Workforce Development. As a certified program under the ILLINOIS workNet initiative, this program has been approved for workforce training grants for those who are eligible. Funding may be available for those receiving unemployment benefits. Please contact Workforce Development for more information.
