This program combines academic study with immersive travel to help students examine how culture, history, and social contexts shape real-world experiences. Through experiential learning, students gain global perspectives and deepen their understanding of how communities navigate local and global challenges.

This three-day SHRM Certification Boot Camp offers an intensive and effective preparation for the two SHRM certification exams, combining expert instruction with the official SHRM Learning System.

The Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate program is a lean six sigma black belt course with focus on Lean Six Sigma with use of AI tools as well as problem solving.

 

 

The measurement-based Six Sigma methodology focuses on process improvement and variation reduction by applying a set of statistical, analytical and problem solving tools and techniques. In this program, you'll acquire the abilities and skills to implement Six Sigma effectively and economically.

Students will learn organizing skills and strategies for internal and external organizing, in both union and non-union workplaces. In addition, students will learn how to organize members around health and safety issues, including through their rights under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

Learn about the roles and rights of being a steward, how to write and handle grievances, how to deal with management, and how to keep your workplace organized. Additionally, learn the rights of workers and union members under various labor laws including the National Labor Relations Act, Illinois public sector laws, the Family Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Learn how to create verbal and written union communications including leaflets, newsletters, phone scripts and field messaging, and how to effectively use social media for outreach and campaigns. The class will also teach students how to improve their public speaking skills, and how to run effective meetings using Parliamentary Procedure and other formats.

In this intensive, hands-on class, students will learn how to cost out a union contract in detail and how to communicate that information to members in a meaningful way. This class is for Union Staff and Attorneys who support contract negotiations, Bargaining Team Members, CAT Team, and members at large who would like to participate in bargaining someday.
