This certificate program builds upon the knowledge and skills taught in DePaul's Grant Writing Certificate.

The Business Analyst program prepares you for the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) exam. Understand the policies, operations, and structure of an organization and recommend solutions using the International Institute of Business Analysis’s (IIBA) Body of Knowledge.

Students will learn about the many aspects of collective bargaining including researching employers, costing out the contract, surveying members for contract priorities, preparing contract language and proposals, tools for effective negotiations, interest based bargaining benefits and hazards, recognizing surface bargaining, internal organizing, strike preparation and alternatives to strike, and ratifying the contract. An overview of labor-management relations during and after negotiations will also be covered. In the final weeks, students will participate in a collective bargaining role-play.

The Crisis Communication course helps participants enhance the effectiveness of their written communications, in ways they can apply to crisis communications, issues monitoring, and other public relations activities.

Finance and Accounting for Non-financial Professionals develops the basic tools and concepts of operational financial management. The course also provides an overview of accounting methods, standards, and terminology to enable you to read, interpret and evaluate financial statements.

Attend DePaul's online information session to learn what it takes to obtain your CFP® credentials. We will discuss the topics covered in the six-module Financial Planning Certificate Program as well as the requirements to sit for the CFP^® certification exam.

Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance Planning provides an overview of the financial planning and insurance industry. This course is the first of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Investment Planning introduces basic investments concepts and focuses on client needs and assessments, particularly as they relate to risk tolerance and exposure.

Income Tax Planning provides an overview of the federal tax system, including both personal and business taxation. This course is the third of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits teaches the fundamentals of retirement planning, as well as exploring various alternatives available in planning for retirement. This course is the fourth of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Estate Planning provides an introduction to estate planning challenges, techniques and taxation. This course is the fifth of six required modules in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Financial Plan Development is the new course requirement for educational programs registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In this course, you will learn to integrate your knowledge of the financial planning topics learned from the previous five courses in the program, and apply and communicate this knowledge to your clients in a form of both a written financial plan and an oral presentation. This course is the final required module in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.
